Lilly is an 8 year old pit bull who lived with her owner outside of Boston, MA. Last week Lilly&#8217;s owner Christie Spain was walking with Lilly along a railroad track when Christie fell unconscious on the tracks. A freight train was coming and the engineer knew he could not stop the train in time. He then realized that Lilly was working to pull Christie off the tracks and to safety. The train did hit Lilly as she was just able to get Christie safely off the tracks, but both Lilly and Christine lived through the incident. Lilly lost her leg and has major injuries to her pelvis, but is being released from the hospital this week after undergoing surgeries. </p>
